New Breed at the Pan Championship

Since its debut in 1995, the IBJJF Pan Championship has been one of the organization’s highly anticipated events every year. Back in 1995, the Pan Championship was the first step to revolutionizing the sport. With this event, the Pan Championship, also dubbed as the “Pan Ams,” a handful of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners hoped to pioneer the art internaionally. Beginning with a group of about 250 jiu jitsu athletes, the Pan American has definitely expanded and changed since then. This tournament is not only highly anticipated, but also widely recognized as the largest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament of North America.

The Pan Ams currently attracts BJJ athletes from all corners of the world. This event even attracts our very own competitors. With the Pan Championship this week, New Breed Academy has its finest and toughest competitors in California to fight for the gold. After the intense, ruthless, and non-stop training for months, our competitors are now getting ready to face the challenge ahead this week on March 20th – March 24th.
